Can my Uncle act as a sponsor for my mum and nephew

Post by rankaseye » Sun Jun 30, 2019 4:59 pm

Hello everyone,

I will like to find out if this is possible and whether it can flag a refusal or not.
Can my uncle who is a civil servant outside Uk sponsor my mum and nephew's visit visa to the UK. Last year my Dad sponsored her but he is passed now and my mum has claimed in the previous application that she is a full time house wife, so wondering if this is possible and the documents my uncle needs to provide for the application.

Anyone please.
Thanks

If her sponsor is not living in UK then has he got any property in UK and how your mom will prove that where will she live?

Why does he need property in uk.
She is coming to see me and my family. What I am avoiding is I dont want ECO to refuse her Visa because her sponsor is in uk and she might decide not to go back cos have read similar cases on here that leads to refusal.

You seem to be confused with the purpose of sponsorship. You and your family are the sponsors as you are providing accommodation and covering the costs of your Mother and Nephew's stay in the UK.

Are you suggesting that if your Uncle deposits funds for the visit in your Mother's bank account, there will be a more convincing reason for her return? The Entry Clearance Office will be looking for documented evidence of strong ties to her home country, which will include financial self-sufficiency, property ownership, other children resident there etc.......

Thanks CASA, not saying my uncle will deposit funds into her account.
Previous application my dad sponsored and issued her a cheque from his company account, added company details and the property details where they live to the application and it was fine.
Because my mum stated that she is a full time house wife carng for my dad, grandma and children. Now that my dad is late, how does she show source of funds, none of the children can proof that except me and am in the UK therefore can my uncle provide same thing my dad provided last year?
