tier 2 extention with harrasement conviction of section 2

Hello.
I am a doctor who has been arrested on expartners complaint for harassement and now my case is gone to cps and my lawyer says i may be convicted with section 2 harrasement. My question is what will happen to my tier 2 visa extention while my court proceedings are continued. Also please some one share their experience with GMC . Jobs and tier 2 extention. will my tier 2 be rejected on the court proceedings. or on the suspected conviction.
also if someone can tellme how will this effect my ilr ?

An extension will likely be put on hold if you have a pending criminal case.

A conviction could affect your ILR yes, depends though when you would potentially qualify.

Not sure anyone on the forum has experience of the GMC process. Best would be to contact them.

Oh dear so how will i be able to work then will tbey refuse changing my sponsor at all ?

If you have a pending prosecution, HO will write to you and will hold your application pending the outcome of the case.

Your existing conditions continue will HO holds the application.

The above applies to an extension with your current employer and a new employer.

So i can still work with the NHS trust i am working currently ? or can work in the new trust as well ?

You can only work for the employer who sponsored your visa. If you want to work for someone else, you have to apply for a new tier 2 visa.

Any visa application you make will likely be held until the outcome of your pending prosecution. There is no way to get around this.

I am very terrified actually. I was in relationship with someone very nasty i would say . The moment relationship was over he started putting up complains to police about me harrasing him and GMC. As a result i told police as well what i have been through and they took it as sexual assault. For which he had conversation with my mother saying u need to take back the complaint and i will talk to your daughter and things will be back to normal. However once i took back complaint he again stopped responding my phone calls. 2 days back i went to his place only with the intentions of talking he called police saying shes harrasing me showing phone calls and all. Police arrested me took me to station and detained me. Now my case is with CPS. I dont know what the outcome will be and how long will the case be pending . Extremely scared. I wish i had never gone to his place at all. Now my concernes are whatever be my sentence how will it effect my tier 2 and my ILR. Ps i hv spended 2 and half years in uk and my tier 2 is pending for next month as i shall hv to change the sponsor.

Could you kindly clarify that i will still b able to work with my new employer at all while the results are pending for tier 2 ?

You cannot work for your new employer until you have been granted a visa with a new sponsor.

Unclear from your posts if you have a new visa or not with a new sponsor.
