Spouse Visa SET M Requirements

Post by rayleo1990 » Wed Jul 03, 2019 9:56 am

Dear Admins,

I am not sure, if i am writing in the correct sub-form. its regarding my partners visa.
I just want to know what will be the main requirements for my spouse, if i switch to 10 year ILR.

My wife came to UK in june 2016 as T1E dependent,
got visa extended in sept 2018 which is valid until sep 2020.
Now, when i switch to 1o years LR, she will have to complete 5 years on SET M.
Can i use my salary to make £18600 threshold, or does she has to show her own salary to switch to SET M?

kindly suggest, I am going through topics, but can't find similar scenarios.
According to my reaserach:
she has to pass LIUK Test & English Language B2? please correct me if i am wrong?

Thank you very much for your great help as always.

You need to be clear that SET(M) is the form for ILR and not a spouse visa. She needs to apply on FLR(M) for a 2.5 year spouse visa.
Can i use my salary to make £18600 threshold, or does she has to show her own salary to switch to SET M?
For FLR M you can use either spouses income.
she has to pass LIUK Test & English Language B2? please correct me if i am wrong?
She does NOT need LIUK for a FLR(M) spouse visa. LIUK is ONLY for ILR and she doesn't qualify for ILR.

A1 or higher required for English.

Please can you confirm, if she can use B1 test for FLR M? or does she has to do A1?

Yes, B1 is fine as long as it is a test and test provider on HO's current list.

You can use either of your income as long as it meets the requirements.

If you are self employed, there is a lot you need to submit. See the link below for Appendix 1.7

Re: Spouse Visa FLR

Post by rayleo1990 » Thu Nov 21, 2019 3:50 pm

Hello guys,
can you please correct me if i am wrong for my spouse FLR M visa in next coming months,
one of my friend recently switched from T1E to 10 years ILR. He also extended his mrs visa in FLR M.
His was on his company payroll and combined his salry £10k with his mrs. salary £10k who was also working for his business 10k.

In my scenario, I am bit confused, as my solicitor has given me different information.
I am also on my payroll and my Est earnings will be £15000 (april 2019 - march 2020)
my mrs. is working part time ( not in my business ) and her earning will be around £8k from april 2019 - march 2020.
is it possible if we can combine our earnings for her visa ?

apologies I may have asked similar questions before.
