spouse with independent visa

Post by theforeigner » Tue Jul 09, 2019 4:53 pm

Hello
I hope everyone well
I hold indefinite leave to remain, and I need to bring my wife and my 3 years son here.
My wife fills spouse visa online, but they not asking her to bring my son passport, even she said that an independent son will be travelling with her.
and I'm renting 1 bedroom flat from the council they didn't ask her for the tenancy agreement.
please is that normal or there is something wrong.
Please need help.
Thank you

Not sure what you mean by 'independent son', as clearly a 3 year old is not 'independent' but 'dependent'.

If your son needs a visa, then it is two applications.

Two separate forms for each applicant.

Two visa fees.

Two IHS fees.

Thank you for your reply
So if I need to apply for my wife and my son to come here,
then it's 2 separate application, is that what you mean,
and which the application I use for my son.
Thank you

The form is the same. You simply complete as per your circumstances. There is no separate or different form because you are exempt!!

You need to look at form Appendix 2 as well.
