I attended UKVCAS appointment on Saturday 13/04/2019 at Bedford point, London. I paid £50 for this appointment. There were at least 40 outside with the same 15.30 pm appointment. Once through security checks( asked for Barcode appointment and ID). Taken to a ground floor. Given a ticket. I waited for 2 1/2 to be seen. Once your ticket is called, you're directed to a self-serve booth to get your biometrics. Once done, you inform the ticket lady you've completely the first task. She then notes it on your ticket(a copy she keeps). You're then directed to the seating area(packed with very tired people). Half an hour later, my ticket is called once more(often 3 people a time). I hand in all my supporting documentation. The UKVCAS staff scans all my documents and returns them to me. Passport, and the two referee's are scanned in a separate machine. This takes 10 minutes or so. The staff are rather chatty people. This could explain why there are long waiting periods()

Perhaps the UKVCAS could hire extra staff from the extra money they make in service charge()
