Proof of right to work

Apologies if I am posting in the wrong section.

Some background info- acquired IRL in 2006- stamp is in expired passport.

I recently was given a job offer. The job requires an enhanced DBS check. I was not aware that i require a BRP as my old passport has my IRL stamp. I urgently need proof of my right to work in the UK. I have looked online and i can see that an BRP would cost over £1,000 to be fastracked. Is this my only option?

IF you use super priority service then hopefully within 24 hrs you will get decision followed by 7-10 working days for the arrival of BRP card through DX courier.
