Different NI Number issued

Hello,

Can I ask has anybody experienced tier 2 visa extension via new employer and then after you received the BRP card, the NI number at the back is totally different from my previous one.

I first got my job at isle of Man, after 6 mos i found an employer in uk and transferred to uk. Now in isle of man, i was issued an NI Number that starts with MA 123456 A.

Now when i recieved my BRP card, the back of the cardhas written different ni number. Is it possible to have different NI Number since i first worked at isle of man?

I am anxious as on monday i will be starting to work. I tried calling HRMC but only answering machine is talking.

Please anybody help? Thank you.

Thanks CR001, just to confirm if i understand it correctly, it means after 2016 all those who worked
In iom then transferred to uk will have 2 different ni numbers? Thank you
