Tier 2 General to ILR Eligibility

Post by Stevenwalks » Mon Aug 05, 2019 8:33 pm

Hi All,
I'm a Tier 2 General visa holder ( Visa issued on 03-01-2018) . I have entered in UK on Jan 2018 but exited after 2 weeks ( 11th Feb 2018 ) as the project was not ready. Later I have re-entered in UK on 22nd Feb 2019 . Now I will be continuing in UK till my max length of stay in this visa category.I would like to know whether I will be still eligible for ILR in future with this Tier 2 General visa and leave of a absences in my first year.

Can you please answer this query.

Regards

The absence limit is 180 days per 12 month rolling period.

Thanks for the update.
So the rolling 12 month starts from the date of issue of visa or date of entry.
For my case date of issue is 3 jan 2018. So am eligible still for ILR if I continue to stay in uk for the maximum duration left for my Tier 2 visa ?

Date of ilr application counting backwards. See link below.

Note also that the rules do change and you will need to keep up to date in HO website to make sure of any changes
