I am writing from India. Please help on my query.
I am not married but in a relationship[ living together ]with my partner,i live outside UK ; my partner is married to another girl (no kid)and lives in UK.He is a British Passport holder.I have a kid for him and our kid is 5 yrs now.I work in a MNC - IT firm.I need to know if there are any possibilities to travel UK with my kid and join my partner.
Please let me know on the possibilities.
Laxmi
My understanding is that the partner lives in the UK and has a wife. But more information needs to be given by the OP.my partner is married to another girl (no kid)and lives in UK
Then you are not an unmarried spouse/partner. For that designation, you need to have lived together for at least two years with joint financial responsibilities (joint bank accounts, joint mortgages, etc).
British passports do not have the spouse's name listed in them. He may have listed his wife as Emergency Contact, but that is about it and that does not denote a relationship.
There should be no problems with that as that has noting to do with your relationship. You are being sponsored by your company and presumably so will your child. That is a matter between you and your company's HR.
