I put indefinite to remain application by post on 5th of July 2019.

May anyone answer me please I am much worried anybody has gone through any experience by submitting indefinite to remain application by post after June 2019. I made mistake I applied indefinite to remain by post before 15 days of expiry date of my visa neither I received any acknowledgment letter nor documents came back when I came to know Home office no longer accepts by post I applied online on 18th of August but it was after one and half month of expiry date of my visa when I contact home office there is no customer service to whom I can discuss my case may somebody answer my question please please.

What is your visa route and what paper form did you apply on?

Thanks for reply I have been on spouse visa for 5 years I applied by using SET(M) application form Documents are dispatched to address Home Office SET (M) Indefinite Leave to Remain PO Box 591 Durham DH19FS I sent application on 5th of July 2019 but no answer it has been 6 weeks on the other hand my visa has expired now but I applied online on 18th of August they have taken fees and give biometric date on 20th of September but I don’t have signal document my visa expiry date was 18-07-2019 but I applied by post on 5-07-2019 I don’t know what to do now Please help me .

Where did you get the paper form? They were withdrawn last year in November.

Did HO take the payment for the paper application you made??

No they did not I get application form from one website this is my big mistake I don’t know how to get documents back and how I will fight my case much worried.

Did you get any acknowledgement letter from HO??

I suggest you write a letter explaining the error and upload it with your application and explain all your documents were sent by post in error with a paper form.

Thanks I sent an email to HO compliant centre no any reply for paper application but online application is submitted fees taken and biometric date is given but I don’t know how I will go for biometric without any documents all send to Home Office SET (M) Indefinite Leave to Remain PO Box 591 Durham DH19FS I don’t know is this valid address or not?

If it wasn't valid, you would have probably received your documents back.

Have you contacted Royal Mail? Hopefully you sent it special delivery or with some form of tracking??

I did according to Royal Mail documents are taken by HO I asked to disclose who has taken it they say they cannot just they can tell is it is taken by HO. Yes it was recorded and special same day delivery I tracked it and documents are collected on 08-07-2019 thanks again.

Write a letter immediately to the same address explaining the circumstance as best as you can and tell them all your documents are with them, they might possibly be able to relate both. Did you receive any acknowledgment email for the one you submitted online.

If you did they would have given you a case ID, if so please quote this in your cover letter and add the copy of the receipt of recorded mail issued by Royal Mail so they can link your present letter with the last one.. Also ensure you sent the letter by recorded mail and also keep the record. I really hope this helps.

Thanks I did receive for online application fees is taken and biometric date is given on 20th of September 2019 but I do not have any documents with me.

Many thanks I really appreciate your good pieces of advice it is like light in this time of need I am very thankful to you yes I will deal it in this way as well what do you think should I seek legal advice as well mean hire any solicitor in this connection?

I don’t think solicitors will do anything more than we have told you, however you might be lucky to have one that can really talk to HO directly on the matter

Many thanks each of everyone of you for your help I want your continuous help please yes you are right I went to solicitor he said same as was said by all of you he said I did good work by sending an email to complaint centre of HO they will send back my documents within two to three weeks time I hope for the best thanks again for your help.
