Visa for my Wife

Post by NAPVS » Wed Aug 21, 2019 2:56 pm

Hi All,

I have just joined this informative website. If someone could help me.
I have recently been granted UK citizenship. My wife is on Tier 2 General visa which expires on 2.03.2020.
Could you please advise what kind of visa my wife should apply for, if she is not able to get extension on Tier2.

Thanks in Advance

Spouse visa on form FLR(M), meeting the English A1 and £18,600pa financial requirement.

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/partner-spouse

Switching visas will reset her 5 year clock for ILR to zero and she will need 2 x 2.5 year visas before applying for ILR on Set(M) for 5 years ILR.

Thanks for replying. I have another question on this.

When you say £18,600 pa. I believe it could be either mine or my wife's income?
If my wife's contract, with her current employer, ends in February 2020. Can we still show her income(from last 12 months) or the requirement is continuous and permanent income?

Thanks in Advance.

For applying within the UK, yes.
If my wife's contract, with her current employer, ends in February 2020. Can we still show her income(from last 12 months) or the requirement is continuous and permanent income?
She needs 6 months payslips and bank statements AND and employer letter detailing her terms of employment.
