Which visa we should apply for?

Post by mithu82 » Sun Aug 25, 2019 9:04 pm

Hi

Thank you so much for your help and guidance sorting out different issues about immigration.

I wonder if anyone can help me please? Let me explain my situation below.

I am a housewife currently staying in India. My husband works in NHS and is a British Citizen by naturalisation for last 6 months. We have a 12 years old daughter and 2 years old son. All of us have got Indian Passport. After a long period we have decided that we (me and my children) are going to live with my husband in UK.
My questions are

1. Which visa I should apply for to live with my husband in UK?
2. What are the documents required for the visa?
3. Since I am a housewife and me and my children are dependent on my husband, do we have to show any financial evidence for the visa?
4. Is there any English requirement for me and my daughter?
5. What is the fee for the said visa?
6. Where i need to apply?

Any kind of help will be much appreciated.

1. Spouse/child visa

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/partner-spouse

2. Explained in link above under tab Information you must provide and tab Give proof of your income.

3. Your husband has to prove the financial requirement.

4. A1 English only for you from a UKVI approved test centre.

5. £1523 each and £1200 immigrations health surcharge each. So £1523 X 3 and £1200 X 3.

6. You apply online and then an appointment at your nearest VFS for biometrics etc for all of you.
