Post by NeelamMunir » Mon Sep 02, 2019 3:45 pm

Asalaamualaikum everyone I have a question, I am a British Citizen and I am married (Islamic marriage) my partner is a refused asylum seeker, I also have a disability and I am also 28 weeks pregnant, my partner has applied for flrfp 10 year family route visa in April 2019.we were told that we would be contacted in 8 weeks but it's been 4 plus months now and still nothing from the home office, what should I do? I would appreciate any advice on this

Thank you

Presumably you married within the UK. If this is the case, in HO's view, you are not married but are unmarried partners. How long has your partner been in the UK? How long have you been partners?? Why was the asylum application refused?

FLR FP in your circumstances can take many months, often up to or more than a year.

The home office refused his asylum because their was a problem with the FIR papers and he was told that he applied for asylum late, he didn't apply for asylum again so his lawyer said it would be better if you apply for FLR FP as unmarried partners, we have been in a relationship since 2017 and did an islamic marriage in 2018, my partner has been in the UK for 9 years.
