PR visa - Shortage in minimum salary

Post by Gnanamurugan » Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:13 pm

Hi All

I'm planning to apply PR visa shortly. But my current salary is in short by £600 (minimum £35800 before April 2020). Can any one advise is there any other option to apply from my current position. ?
My wife is working in dependent visa for last 3 years and she is getting more than £36,000.
Can we club our salary to show our eligibility to apply PR Visa?
Please can any one advise

Presumably you mean ILR and not PR which is an application under EU rules.

Your spouse income is irrelevant and doesn't count so Jo you cannot "club" your salaries together.

If you don't meet the ilr salary requirement, or what is stated in your soc (which you don't say what it is) and whichever is higher, your ilr will fail.

Note also that ILR is not a "visa" as such.

Thanks for your reply.
When I got offer at 2015 my salary was £33,000 and currently I'm getting £35,000. But I referred few websites States the ILR applicant should get £35800 ( on or before April 2020).

I'm a permanent employee and havent any issues on my job. But employer said they can't increase my salary at present. So I'm worried about min salary eligibility.

Please advice is this salary okay to apply.

Also could you please advise If I can show part time work salary in same field? Will that be sufficient to apply?

No it won't. Your ilr will be refused. What is your soc??

No you can't. Only your main tier 2 salary counts.

For your SOC, the min salary for an experienced employee is 33K. However you must meet the min salary threshold for ILR whichever that is higher. Also how are you working part time ??! Tier 2 does not allow you to work unless they are supplementary or voluntary work :!:

It wouldn't count.

Speak to your employer or wait if you have time till you do meet the requirement. There is no other way.
