Tier 4 from ICT Tier2; within UK - Legal last day to stop work in Tier2 ICT

Hello,

I am currently working in UK on Tier 2 ICT long term visa, which is valid until May 2020. However, I have planed to study full time in UK from Sep 2019 onwards. I have the following queries:

1. I am applying for Tier4 student visa, when will my Tier 2 ICT visa will be cancelled?
2.Does it really take 8 weeks?
3.Do I need to go back to my home country in between?
4.As soon as a decision is given for Tier 4 visa, if it's positive will myTier 2 ICT be invalid on the same day?

You cannot apply in the UK. You need to leave the UK and make the Tier 4 visa application in your home country, then return with the Tier 4 visa.

When the Tier 4 leave is issued, or when the Tier 2 ICT is curtailed due to employer report, whichever is the sooner.

2.Does it really take 8 weeks?

That's the service standard for a standard application.

3.Do I need to go back to my home country in between?

No! You cannot travel at all. Leaving the common travel area would cancel your application.

Hello,
I am currently in Tier2 ICT visa which will end in May 2020. On 30th Aug 2019, I have submitted my documents for tier4 visa application. My planned last day of work with my current organisation is 13th Sep 2019.
My question is : Can I still be eligible for work from now until 13th Sep2019 or my tier 4 visa decision (whichever is earlier)? Or is it like I am no more eligible to work as I have submitted my tier4 visa application while waiting for the decision.

You only have a tier 4 visa when the visa has been granted. Simply submitting an application doesn't change your existing visa conditions.
