I’ve got the approval letter from Home Office and I have a major confusion about the wording used for the 5-year route. Turns out I got the letter by email while I’m still waiting for my passport, and when I’ve read the letter, it isn’t stated anywhere under which route I have been put. This goes as follows:
I have entirely scanned the letter and there’s no mention of the route whatsoever. Firstly, I assumed I was put on a 5-year route due to the “Standard” mention. However, I’m worried that I’ve been put under a 10-year route since I’ve got a previous refusal (but appealed and overturned the decision) and I have a British child. I asked to my solicitor about this and has said the wording is indeed ambiguous, therefore couldn’t guarantee is a 5-year route.Letter wrote:You must present this letter to the Immigration Officer upon arrival in the UK.
Dear,
Your application for a UK visa has been successful. This means that when you arrive in the UK you will have permission to be in the UK (known as Leave to Enter) as PARTNER (STANDARD)
I’d appreciate any input you can provide to this (if by standard it means 5-year route), or if anyone has applied recently and got the letter, can you please tell me if it looks like mine?
Thank you!
