I am in the processing of finalising my professional referee.

Can this person be a resident of a commonwealth country? This individual has never visited UK but he is a lecturer/professor there and he/she knows me since a fairly long time.

By the way, if the answer of the above question is yes, does this mean verifying such a referee will cause a delay in the decision of my naturalisation application?

Can I just send the 'scanned' version of the form with my passport size photo glued on it to this individual to print and sign or do I really have to 'post' the form to him and then request to him post the signed form back to me? I hope the initial approach is acceptable, otherwise this may take ages to get done :/

My other serious concern is to do with the end dates of some of my other jobs which I had done via agencies. I don't take p-45s from them. I do the work for them when I am required.

I don't know what end date to put for these jobs. Please do answer this question and the one stated above. It will be much appreciated.

The system/virtual form is not allowing me to leave the end date section blank. There is no option of choosing - on-going/current/haven't left the organisation yet etc. :/

By the way, is it possible for me to use a digital photo taken by my own phone camera for the referee form?

I am planning to virtually paste it on the digital referee form and then email to my professional referee abroad.

Then he will print and sign the form and email the scanned version back to me.

Is that all good?

Or everything needs to be done by post in such a case?
