Tier 2 Total Stay

Hi,

I used to have a Tier 2 visa for a period of 3 years (2015-2018) but I curtailed this after 2 years upon resignation to continue my studies in a different country. I have since left the UK for 2 further years.

I am now looking to return to the UK on a Tier 2 visa. I was wondering if anyone could help with clarifying if the total Tier 2 stay of 6 years applies to each time a Tier 2 visa is applied or if it applies to the total time an individual can stay in the UK regardless of how many different instances a Tier 2 visa is granted.

It is 6 continuous years on tier 2.

If you come back on tier 2 now, you have 6 years. The previous tier 2 time is irrelevant.
