PBS dependent visa extension on ILR holder

Post by krisian » Sun Sep 29, 2019 10:46 pm

Hello admin,

Good evening. I have the same case but with mine it’s my daughter’s PBS DEPENDENT visa. Which form should I use to extend her visa?

Thank you

What is the immigration status of the other parent or where is the other parent?

Did you get ilr based on tier 2??

Hi. Good morning.

Thanks for your response.

My wife is still on Tier 2 visa...

I got my ILR based on my tier 2 visa.

It was my Tier 2 visa that sponsored my daughter.

Thank you.

Is your spouse on her own tier 2 general visa or as your dependent?? Your post is unclear.

Apologies.

My wife is on her own tier 2 visa. She is not my dependent.

My daughter’s PBS visa is dependent on my old tier 2 visa.

I am now on ILR which was granted June 2019 and my daughter’s PBS dependent visa will be expiring on 01/2020.

Thank you

She can either apply to be your wifes' dependent or you apply to extend her current tier 2 dependent visa for a further 3 years.

Child will qualify for ILR when your wife does.

Hi and thank you for your quick response. A few questions again.

1. If she applies for my wife’s tier 2 dependent visa will her stay in the UK to have ILR continue for another 2 years or will it reset to 0.

2. If I will extend her stay on my ILR visa, which form should I use? Is there by any chance that you could send a link as I’ve been trying but it’s asking for a COS (which I don’t have now) as I’m on my ILR.

Thank you for your patience.

1. If she extends her PBS dependent visa, she is on the same category as before an can apply for ILR after 5 years on PBS Dependent visa. Extending her existing visa does NOT reset her clock.

2. FLR(M) which will reset her ILR clock to zero. You don't need a NEW CoS for a PBS Dependent extension. You simply put in your last CoS details!!!

Hi,

Thank you again. I have done what you advised and applied my daughter to extend her visa via my ILR.

We were about to pay the health surcharge and my ILR visa expiry date. It computed for 5 years I think and is asking me to pay 2200 for the surcharge? Why is this so when I only need another 2.5 years to apply her for ILR? Is there a way around it?

Thank you once again.

Why are you changing visa category to FLR m and not extending the PBS dependent visa?? It is simpler to apply for a PBS dependent extension.

Hello again,

We couldn’t find the PBS dependent visa extension on the website. I’ve been googling it and checking the Home office website for it :(.

The FLR m is the one that comes out. That is where we are confused..

By any chance do you have a link please?

Kind regards,

For your ilr expiry date, put it as 3 years from now, ie X date 2022, to get the correct fee of £1200.

Thank you very much for that advice. I was already wondering if i put my expiration date which is 2024 it will be around 2k+.

Hopefully it will turn out well and will keep this post updated for future references for other people.
