Mn1 for child

Post by vikshi1 » Mon Sep 30, 2019 2:40 pm

hi, parents/we've received the ILR approval and are now planning to register the child as british using https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-born-uk/under-18 online form

Can someone please clarify the below.

1) should the referees be British Passport holders or any one living in UK who knows the child and family for 3 years can be a referee? and as the child is under 3 years does the clause of knowing for 3 years matter?

2) there is a section in the form "Are you relying on your parent's permanent residence (either as an EEA National or the family member of an EEA National) as evidence of their settled status in the United Kingdom?" as the Indian parents got ILR under tier2 gen to ILR, should this be No? or is it just for EU citizens, please clarify?

TIA

1. No the 3 years knowing doesnt apply. The professional referee can be any nationality and must be engaged with the child.

2. Not relevant as you are not an EU or EEA route pr holder.
