which way to go?

Post by juliocesarperez17 » Thu Oct 03, 2019 12:22 pm

Good afternoon, as in the past, this forum has been of great help for me and once again I would like to get some advice.
Scenario
My wife, Myself and my kid (9 years old then) came to UK 19 years ago as Swedish citizens.
My daughter is now 28 and moved out of the house years ago
She has been working fulltime for 4 years now (before that she was at Uni and after that living with us for a year)
She has been in England all the time for 19 years but has never done the Residency paperwork
She has now applied and granted settled status because of the Brexit thing about 6 months ago
My wife and I became UK Citizens a year ago (but not the daugther).

Question, what is the quickest way for my daugther to become also a UK Citizen now?
what will be the process she has to go through?

Thanks a million

Same process you went through, although it is an online application now. Note also that she requires Settled status to be held for 12 months before she can apply for citizenship if she does not hold a document certifying PR back dating the PR acquired date. She also needs the life in the UK test and to meet the English requirement
