Yes, if she meets the 3 year residence requirement.can she apply for BC starightaway
No.does she have to wait for 1 year from getting ILR like I did?
Stop listening to other people on the bus/at the pub/at the shop etc.I keep hearing that Tier 2 Dependant needs to complete 1 year in ILR before they can apply for BC.
A spouse of a British citizen, regardless of immigration and ILR route, does NOT have to wait 12 months, provided they meet the requirements to apply as spouse of BC.Is there a guidance confirming this? Please could you let me know.
You're welcome. Feel free to continue with additional queries in this topic if you have any.
Incorrect. She is free to travel. She is not making an immigration application.I believe she cannot travel after applying online for BC, is this correct?
You have to BOOK the ceremony within 21 days of approval letter. You have to ATTEND the ceremony within 90 days. Nothing has changed in this regards. Is there still the rule of booking citizenship ceremony within 90 days of approval letter being received or has it changed recently in guidance somewhere, please let me know what's the latest on this?
She is only British once she has attended her CEREMONY and NOT from the date of approval letter. Also, after getting citizenship approval letter, can she travel to another country for a few weeks with current ILR BRP and then enter UK with ILR BRP to attend the ceremony (within 90 days). Is this possible?
