Tier 2 visa application

Post by skechidi » Fri Oct 11, 2019 7:19 pm

Dear all,

I would be grateful if someone could inform me whether the National Insurance number and the IHS reference number are the same or different.

In the spouse and partner section, there is the following question: Will they be traveling with you to the UK? am I supposed to answer "Yes" even if my wife is not making her application at the same time as me but she will join the UK latter as a Tier 2 dependant?

Looking forward to your feedback,

Cheers,
Smail.

Dear CR001,

I can get the IHS reference number once I pay the IHS, right?
What about the National Insurance Number?

Cheers,
Smail.

Yes.
What about the National Insurance Number?
My understanding is that tier 2 migrants get the NI number printed on their visa BRP cards. Dependents have to apply for a NI number at job centre.

NI numbers are issued by the department for works and pensions.

In that case, I do not need to specify the National Insurance Number in the Tier 2 application form, do I?

Also, in the spouse and partner section, there is the following question: "Will they be traveling with you to the UK?" Am I supposed to answer "Yes" even if my wife is not making her application at the same time as me because she will join the UK latter as a Tier 2 dependant?

Looking forward to your feedback,

Smail.

Hello Smail

If your wife is not coming with you at the moment, the answer is then "No". That box is not for future project but it's relevant for the context of that application you are making.

National Insurance number is a number delivered by the Department of Work and Pensions. It looks like:

AB 12 34 56 C

Dear Zerubbabel,

Thank you for your reply.

Am I supposed to mention that I do not have a National Insurance Number in the Tier 2 application form? In fact, I received a CoS from my employer in which there is no such a number! Also, is the IHS reference number can be obtained once we pay the IHS and the visa fees?

Will I be able to bring my wife later as a Tier 2 Depend?

Cheers,
Smail.

1. It is NOT your employer who gives you a national insurance number!!! DWP does but please, read what I have stated already about it above. Nothing you need to mention about a umber as you DON'T have one yet!

2. Yes.

Not sure what is unclear. The question is relevant to NOW, not a date in the future!!

ILETS for UKVI TRF

Post by skechidi » Sat Oct 12, 2019 2:02 pm

Dear all,

Would a scanned copy of the ILETS for UKVI Test Report Form be enough for the Tier 2 visa application?

Looking forward to your feedback,

Cheers,
Smail.

When / Where did you pass your IELTS exam?

Normally you are given a number (SELT number). During the online application (you must apply online) you enter the SELT number at one point. Then, you will get an appointment at a visa center in your country and there you go with all your original documents. They scan them and submit them for you to the Home Office.

I took an IELTS for UKVI (General Training) in Algeria on the 28th of September, however, I am applying from Portugal (country of residence).

A scanned copy of the TRF would be enough if I upload the document my self without asking the TLS contact agent to do so?

Cheers,
Smail.
