Travel on Tier 2 Dependent(Son) + ILR(Parent ) + Applied Naturalization(Son)

Post by jsingh86 » Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:30 am

We(parents) came to UK on tier 2 visa and now have got ILR status. Our kid(2.5yrs) still has tier 2 dependent visa and we have applied for his naturalization and still waiting for response from home office.

Would like to know that is my son tier 2 dependent still valid(2020), as we(parents) are no more on tier 2 visa and can he travel and come back to UK on same tier 2 dependent visa, when his naturalization is in process.

Children are REGISTERED as British not naturalised.

If you got ILR based on Tier 2, then the child is fine to travel as long as they have a valid visa.

My son was born when we were on tier 2, so anyhow he has to apply for naturalization.
1) If he can travel with his tier 2 dependent visa
2) I am also worried that if his naturalization certificate comes when we are abroad and on return at immigration, the immigration department comes up saying that his tier 2 dependent is not valid anymore as he has naturalization certificate and at that moment we won't be able to produce his naturalization certificate as the certificate came to our UK home address when we were abroad.

I was merely stating children are registered. Only adults are naturalised!!

Yes!!
You are overthinking.
