Pension Mandatory For Citizenship Application or Not ?

Post by jpahuja » Wed Oct 30, 2019 9:52 am

Hi Team,

Need your help to know about the below situation:
I have ILR visa [Got few months back] and currently I am working in Permanent job, so my query is that
1. Is it mandatory for me to continue my pension or can i opt out from pension plan?
2. Without pension plan - will my citizenship application be affected next year?
3. Company had put me in pension plan but they had given me option to opt out, so if I opt out will this affect anything in future?

Thanks.

Employment is not mandatory for citizenship.

Pension scheme has absolutely nothing to do with citizenship either. It is entirely your choice what you choose to do.
