Main applicant on ILR and PBS dependent extension

Dear All Immigration board members,

My current situation, I am currently on ILR and wife's Tier 2 visa extension is about to due this November. All she would need is a visa for one year as she will be eligible for ILR in July 2020.

My Question, will I be able to get her visa extended for only one year by being able to pay for only one years IHS?

A PBS dependent extension is granted for 3 years if the main PBS migrant obtained ILR based on PBS route. This length of extension is dictated by the immigration rules, where it is clearly stated, and there is no discretion to give a visa for a shorter period. You will have to pay 3 years IHS.
