UK Family Visa - Apply from abroad with Indian marriage certificate

Hi All,

Thank you for being so very helpful with my previous ILR application. I have a very specific question regarding my upcoming marriage in India.

My fiance is an Indian national living and working in Dublin (Republic of Ireland) under a general work visa in a national bank. We intend to marry in India early next year.

Does she have to apply for the UK family/spouse visa from India or can she come back to Ireland and apply from there using the Indian marriage certificate?

She can apply in any country she has legal residence, ie not as a visitor. So yes, if she has a valid work permit in Ireland, then she can apply there.

Thank you! Are you aware of any priority services available in Ireland similar to what we have in the UK?

Also assume it is legally allowed to have a Ireland work visa and a UK spouse visa at the same time?

You will need to check the options you get in the online and appointment booking process.

Why wouldn't she. Two different countries, two different visas. Note however that Ireland and the UK do share immigration data.
