Spouse Visa Couple of Questions

Hello all,

I have a couple of questions regarding spouse visa hopefully someone can help.

My sister in law got married couple of months back she is a British born citizen but her husband is from India.

Should we hire a lawyer in the U.K. to help with the paper work or should this all be done from India.

My sister in law in not working but has a joint savings account with my wife with more than £80k. This money was from a life insurance policy after their mum passed away 2 years ago. Will this be applicable if she wants to go down the Cash Savings route or does it have to be only in my sister in laws name.

These should be in the name of either of partners but not with anyone else.

Usually a sound mind person with average literacy with English language and computer having healthy immigration history doesnt need any solicitor with the help of forum and other relevant guidances.
