Spouse visa extension- days out of the UK

Post by Staafs » Sun Nov 17, 2019 9:11 pm

Hi all,

In the hope that someone will be able to help us and clear our confusion.

my husband's spouse visa is coming up for an extension and we have following questions:

- although the visa was granted in 2017, we permanently started living in the UK in 2018 - will that be disadvantageous towards the application?
- following on from above, do we need to provide cohabiting proof for the last 2 years or since the date we first entered UK (i.e. Collect brp in 2017)?

Apologies if these questions have been answered already but any help to the above will be much appreciated!!

Thanks seagul - but please clarify this: 2 years from the day of brp collection or 2 years until march 2020 (when visa expires) i.e. March 2018-2020?

Count 2 years backwards from the date of application.
