NTL - BRP CARD APPLICATION

Post by Wesli445 » Mon Oct 28, 2019 1:22 pm

Good afternoon to you all.

Please, I will like advice on what action or which direction I should take. I submitted an application for my indefinite leave to be transferred from my expired passport to the BRP card (September 2019).

Once I submitted the application and made payment online - I received links to book an appointment for my Biometrics and the one for the document checklist.

Document Checklist - stated that I will receive a decision within 8 weeks of submitting my application. Today is exactly 8 weeks that I have submitted the application but I have not received any email or letter from UKVI.

Please help!

Further actions

You should receive a decision on your application within 8 weeks of submitting your on-line application. We will contact you if it will take longer to process your application. If you have any queries, visit our website https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi

It is a generic statement of 8 weeks that all applicants get. Note also that it likely starts counting from your biometric and document submission date.

NTL to BRP can take up to 6 months.

Can’t afford naturalisation now but def something to think about in the future. I still need to travel in feb. Even if I apply for naturalisation now not sure will I get it in time for feb. Also it needs two things to prove my English. I can do the life in UK test but don’t have any degree or anything else. Plus do I still need to show my ILR? I’ve misplaced that passport so I have nothing to show that right now. 😔
