Tier 2 Dependents IHS query

Post by dinesh15787 » Thu Nov 28, 2019 5:02 pm

My Current UK visa expiry is 31st Jan 2020.
Now making application as Tier 2 dependent as dependent to partner for upto 3 years stay

Main applicant's BRP expiry date is 12th Jan 2023.

On IHS website, after submitting main applicant BRP expiry date, the amount came up as £1400 where as I expect we expect it must be £1200

Can someone advise how IHS calculation is done ?

Will the period be counted from the day when we pay IHS online or from the current visa expiry date ?

please advise how can I bring the IHS to 1200 from 1400

It is calculated per year or part year, from date of application. It is not from date of current visa expiry.

If you want to pay £1200, apply closer to your expiry date.
