I've reviewed the appendix 2 form and a question says what is your sponsor's annual income before tax?

As previously mentioned, in the last 6 months I have had a role change so my six months wage is a mix of two different salaries (but above 18,600)

Do I put in this box my current salary or salary from previous role?? Solicitor put my first salary but I feel it is my current one?

We were advised by two separate Immigration Advisers to put the current salary. Our application was successful.

Their justification is that should UKVI call your employer to confirm the particulars of your employment, your employer will likely only state your current role/salary and not any previous ones held. If your employer provides anything other than what is in your application, it will likely be queried by the ECO.

Note that I am salaried and had been with my employer for 20 months at the date of application.

Put the lowest wages figure during the last 6 months if you are not earning variable income.

Hey everyone

Just wondering if everyone received an ECO consideration email? Judging by the timeline, many people received it after 4-5 working days of scanning the docs but I haven’t received anything.

All we received was a text on the day of biometrics saying the application was accepted with ref number XXX

Urgent advice

I’ve realised an error on the application form that has now been submitted with file scanned

I was born in a Commonwealth country and my date of entry into U.K. was 30 Aug 1995 but the application form says 21 August 1995 which is in correct

Is there anything I can do ???

Is it possible to send an email with clarification? It’s only the date issue - month and year is correct

It will depend on caseworker but more likely it wont affect anything as your date of entry they have in their system.

That’s true and I wasn’t far off the date either in fairness - it’s just the date rather than month/year that is incorrect so they’ll match it up on their system and see that year / month is correct

Is it worth sending an email so that it can be attached to the file as my contact to clarify the date ? At least they’ll be able to see that I tried to clarify. Will they attach the contact ?

Due to sad and sudden circumstance, I’m having to travel to pakistan for a few days. I haven’t had any contact from ukba and I’m not sure if I should be expecting a telephone call...

What’s the best way to manage this situation? I’ll be out of the country for a week

I’m thinking of sending an email to notify when I’m due to return but it may end up seeming like I’m expecting a phone call? I only know about contact due to other posts on this forum

Any advice would be really appreciated

No need to inform to UKVI, simply keep switched on your roaming service and also keep checking your emails.

Hi everyone

So we’ve received an email to advise that we will be interviewed - mine will be by telephone and my husband by video conference

We’ve received different emails

1) My email as sponsor will question our relationship
2) my husbands will question our relationship, his travel history and immigration history

This has me really worried as I’m completely unsure of what they will ask and hoping that someone can provide some guidance on the travel history, relationship type of questions

Hi everyone

My husband and I had our interview today and I wanted to share our questions in the hope that these may help someone, should you be interviewed. A few pointers before I list the questions:-

Please ensure you know your application inside out – your questions will be based on your application and this will make it easier for you to answer. They are validating your application and there is no other means to seek information to ask questions about other than from what you have provided.

The questions are not to trip you up – your answers will provide context to your application
Also be sure that you know important dates inside out!

Please please please be honest in your application and answers – the HO already know the truth and the interview is a means of validation (validation being the exact word used by the home office interviewer)
The interviewer is not the person making the decision but will be typing all your answers as you talk

Be confident in your answers and be clear – if the interviewer is typing as you speak, allow them to clarify the answer with you / or you may ask them to read back to you your answer

I thankfully had a nice interviewer and was having a general chit chat with said person throughout the call – this helped me relax too.

We have been advised a decision will be made within the next week as applications are quiet at the moment

The questions that were asked:-

3. Have you sponsored someone?
4. Applicant’s full name
5. Where was I born? (I was born in a Commonwealth country)
6. How did I acquire my passport? (as I was born in a Commonwealth country)

11. Did we always plan our wedding so early on? (as it was arranged)
12. Date of Nikkah
13. What was the wedding like?
14. Who was at the wedding?
15. Where did we go after wedding?
16. How long for?
17. Where did we go in X city where we did one pre honeymoon?
18. Have we seen each other since marriage?
19. What did we do the second time we met?
20. Where did we stay?
21. How many bedrooms in his house?
22. How often do you talk?
23. Which language do you talk in?
24. What are your favourite hobbies?
25. What are his favourite hobbies?
26. What’s his favourite food?
27. Have either of you been married/divorced before?
28. Do you have any children?
29. What’s his current address?
30. Is he employed?
31. How long have I worked for my company?
32. What is the company’s name?
33. My husband was asked my job role and what I do in my role
34. When does he want to travel?
35. How long does he intend on staying?

Other questions were asked related to my husband’s immigration history that I will not list as it may be identifiable.

My interview lasted 50 mins and my husband’s approx. 10 mins

Also worth noting, your interview may not be simultaneous. My husband’s interview finished before mine and he was calling me whilst I was still on a call so whilst they intend to interview you at the same time, this may not always happen. This won’t happen for everyone but it is something to note.
