Urgent- Dependent Child Visa for PBS /ILR holder

Hi,

I am on Tier -2 General Visa valid till April 2020. I got my ILR in August 2019. My wife is holding PBS Dependent visa till April 2020. My child was born in India.We have applied for ILR dependent visa for my son from India this september. We received his visa type as PBS Dependent valid till April 2020 stamped in passport .No information about BRP card collection point in UK (As they normally send a letter specifying where to collect the BRP card).

Could anyone help with this , please
1. Why is visa granted as PBS Dependent when applied for ILR dependent and parent is holding ILR?
2.Is there a way to extend the period of stay for the child after April 2020?

Because the mother holds a PBS Dependent visa. Child only qualify for a child settlement visa IF the mother is also applying for it or holds that category of visa.

2.Is there a way to extend the period of stay for the child after April 2020?

Only if your wife applies for an extension, then yes. It is normal for the visa to have the same end date as the other tier 2 dependent.

As the visa is for less than 6 months, there is NO BRP card issued. The visa vignette in the passport is all that is issued.

Would you please clarify me if we have to apply new visa for the child again ? To change his visa as ILR dependent when mother applies ? Or is it ok to mention his latest application number in mothers application?

I have no idea what your wife will potentially be applying for. You have no posting history on the forum and you have provided no information on her UK immigration history.
