Travel during Citizenship Application

Hi there,

I am applying for Citizenship next month but I currently travel abroad with work. Am I able to travel abroad during the application process? Are there any restriction when the passport application is being made?

For citizenship application while pending, you are free to travel.

For passport application once you are British, ie after you attended your ceremony, you have to send original passport with the application.

Thanks for the prompt reply! So, when the passport is sent after the ceremony, does it usually take long (i.e >1 month) to receive the new passport?

Currently taking about 2 weeks for passports.

Note that passport is a separate application. Issued on average less than a month from application date.
