New born British passport application

I need some clarity on my newborn baby’s passport application he was born last month and my ILR application was approved last week can I apply for my baby’s passport or do I go through naturalisation in order to apply for passport.

A child born in the UK before either parent got ilr is NOT British. Only a British citizen can apply for a British passport.

You have to REGISTER the child as british on form MN1 online you can only apply for a British passport once the child is British and you have received the registration certificate.
