Hi there,

I am applying for British Naturalisation as a EEU and have few questions for which I need some support. First of all, I entered for first time in the UK on 7 April 2014 and I was granted with the ILR on 25 January 2019.
1) As my ILR was granted before the completion of the 5 years, when would be the first day I can apply for Naturalisation considering that the first day that I arrived in the UK was on 7 April 2014? Can I apply on 25 Jan 2020 or do I have to wait until 7 April 2020?
2) I am applying with the 5 years route, the requirement states “spent no more than 270 days outside of the UK in the 3 year period, or 450 days in the 5 year period”, does this mean that if I apply for the 5 years, I could have been outside of the UK a max of 450 days no matter how many days each year (except the last year)? Does the 3 year rules (for British Partner) apply for my last 3 years or only applies the 5 years rule?
3) In 2015 I was travelling every week from Thursday to Mondays to Ireland and rest of the week in the UK. In average 4 days in the UK and 3/4 in Ireland. Could this affect my application even though I meet the residence requirements?
4) In total, I have more that 60 trips, however, the online form only allows me to enter 30 trips. How can I disclose the rest of the trips to Home Office? Does it matter the order you enter the trips? I started from the most recent trip to the oldest trip 5 years ago.
5) As EEA, I need to include letters from employers, educational establishments or other government departments, indicating your presence in the UK during the relevant 3- or 5-year period. Is it enough a letter from my employers stating that I was employed with them from X to Y?.

1. On 25th January, 1 full year on ILR if you are not married to a British citizen.

2. Yes. It is simply 450 days in total. There is no maximum days per year except the last 12 months before applying. The 3 year rule applies ONLY to those married to a British citizen.

3. Depends what your absence limit comes to.

4. Excel spreadsheet or letter!!!

5. Yes plus P60s for each year.

Do I have to provide the P60 for all years? I am filling the application online and in the "Document Section" it does not mention anything about the P60, just this:

Proof of living in the UK for Mr XXXX
If you are married to, or in a civil partnership with, a British citizen, you must have been in the UK for the past 3 years.

If you are not married, or in a civil partnership with, a British citizen, you must have been in the UK for the past 5 years.

If you are an EEA National, you need to include letters from employers, educational establishments or other government departments, indicating your presence in the UK during the relevant 3- or 5-year period.

If you are a Non-EEA National, you need to include your passport to prove you have lived in the UK for the relevant 3- or 5-year period.

If you do not have your passport or it was not stamped when you entered the UK, you need to include letters (for example, from your employer or government department) as proof.

Bank statements or household bills are not suitable proof you have been living in the UK.

With regards to the coverletter, do you know where I can find a cover letter example to use as reference? How shall I share this cover letter with Home office? Can I just attach it in online application as a it was another document?

Hi all, I need help with my application.

I am applying for BC in the coming days and I have one question related to previous addresses. During the first 7 months of my qualifying period I didn't have a permanent address in the UK, I was in UK mostly from Monday to Thursday/Friday (flying back to Republic of Ireland for weekends) but always in hotels. Most of the time in the same hotel chains. What shall I add as previous address for that period? I was thinking to add the hotel address I spent more days in average but not sure what method has HO to cross check your previous addresses. I have all the invoices for all hotels during that period in case they ask any proof.
