I would agree if I had heard anything but tbh standard or priority doesn’t really matter... depends on your luck. I paid priority and 70 days later nothing so I think they say applications are completed within 120 days so you should hear something soon?

This is what I heard too and I’m on 87WD today and still nothing

Although it does seem that most of August - September have been delayed, only a few were done within the 60 days and I wonder if there is a backlog from that time (depending on biometric date) if that makes sense? I’m thinking of a cut off point during biometrics where a backlog started hence why priority is done quickly because it’s priority

He collected his passport same day as the txt? Presuming he lives near by.. atleast u didnt have to wait till the next day like me.. was anxious all night

Hey guys,

I escalated to my MP today as it has been 75 WD and my application was priority.

My MPs department replied immediately and said they would escalate. 30 minutes later I received an email from them again saying that they had been in contact with UKVI and that "a decision is still waiting" and "since the application was submitted in October and having payed an extra £500 priority fee, the UKVI department have now escalated your case and a decision will be made soon".

They apologised that they could not help me further.

I was very surprised by the speediness of the response and the readiness to help me.

I am not sure if their escalation process is any different from the phone escalation that we are able to do ourselves. However I think it is worthwhile to do if anyone else is waiting for extended periods of time.

It has certainly made me feel better.

Me and ms1993 have been waiting for over a month since our interviews so literally can't tell what the delay is

Oh it's only been a few days since I recieved the phone call from HO. Also, does anybody know if you recieve a phonecall because they suspect something suspicious or is it just random?

Spouse visa applications Pakistan timelines only there is someone called mac_ who posted saying he got a phone call on 17th january which went well and he was asked lots of questions about his mrs and work and was also told a decision would be made on his application either that same day or the following week

Seems like it's all down to luck

I got an email today from HO stating the below, I also got a VAF number in the subject email, not sure what to make of all of this

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

*UPDATE*

I called UKVI again on 23/01/2020 for an update and was told that a decision has been made! We are now awaiting the email/SMS to inform us that the passport has been sent via courier as we paid extra to have it sent back to us via courier as opposed to having to go collect it. We will find out what the decision is once we receive the passport back. I am hoping In Shaa Allah this happens early next week at the latest.

NON priority
Txt to say application processed today 24th january
30 working days exact and she didnt pay priority
So shes worried that the reply has come so quick
Plz pray guys
Then her and my husband can in sha allah come on same day
As its friday they have to wait till monday to find out the outcome
