180 Days Continous Residence Calculation

Post by tugrulguclu » Mon Jan 13, 2020 11:25 pm

Hello
Could you please help me to clarify below ?

I have been with the same employer on Tier2 basis.

Visa issued:22/02/2015
Entrance to UK : 26/02/2015
Visa Valid Until:09/03/2020

(1)My elligibility date starts at 25/01/2020 (22/02/2020 - 28days).Correct ?
(2) My absences out of UK over years (including delayed entry of 4 days)
2015 :26
2016 :76
2017 :45
2018 :31
2019 :33
Total :211
In total it`s over 180days but when counted in consecutive years , it does not exceed 180days .So I assume it is safe even if I considered the rolling basis calculation which came to effect in 11/01/2018 .Correct ?
(3)My partner is Tier 2 Dependant.
Visa issues date : 22/02/2015
Entrance to UK : 25/07/2015
Visa Valid Until:09/03/2020

She has more than 180days absence in 2016. And from 2 016 Her absences
2015:120days(delayed entry)
2016:210
2017:65
2018:31 (after 15th January 2018)
2019:33
before 15/01/2018 is not counted towards 180days. So her total absence count towards 180days is 31+33. Correct ?

Thank you all for your support.

The absence limit is 180 days per residence year so you are fine. Also there is NO absence limit for PBS dependants whose visa was issued before 11 Jan 2018 :!:

Thanks Zimba.

Few more questions and apologies if I had to open a new topic

(1) If we choose standard service and our visas expire before decision how does it affect our right to work in UK ?

(2)Do you have an estimation on standard service decision timelines for straight forward cases (same employer - no adress change - same visa type - no public funds etc) ? (I know it can take up to 6 months)

Thanks

1. No as long as you apply online before visa expiry date.

2. Usually around 8 weeks.

Thanks Zimba.

Do you think is it possible to choose super priority for parents and standard for child (3.5 years old) in the same application ? I think for young children it is not possible to do a separate application.

Additional countries you lived in (T2G to ILR - SET0)

Post by tugrulguclu » Thu Jan 23, 2020 9:51 pm

Hi

I have been to countries X and Y many times before coming to UK.
Durations vary from 2 days to 15 days and they were all for business.

Do you think I need to list all these visits or just one instance of each country would be enough ?

Thanks
