Confused between forms for child BC application after ILR

Post by Fatih453 » Thu Jan 30, 2020 4:19 pm

Hi,
I hope you can help me. Last year, I’ve received my ILR after tier 2 visas. I am applying for BC this month. I wonder whether I can apply for my daughter as well. She was born in abroad came to the uk 6 years ago. She had dependent visas till last year and received ILR at the same time with me.

I’ve checked online application form for her. I found “ Apply for registration of a child under 18 as a British citizen” i am not sure i am filling the right form as in the middle of the form it asks for Grandparent details ” Provide details of your grandparent from whom your mother or father derived British citizenship by descent.”

Can you confirm which form I can use please? By the way, my wife is also holding ILR for a year and applying at the same time like me for BC.
Thanks in advance..

I understand you can all apply online together, rather than separate forms, that is yourself, wife and daughter. I will say whether you wish to add other(s) to the application. Start with the AN application.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Travel after BC application but before appointment day

Post by Fatih453 » Mon Feb 03, 2020 7:54 pm

Hi,

I’ve checked the forum but could not find an answer to this question. Please let me know if I can travel after BC application until the appointment date which is 28 days later than the application date on my case. If i can do I need to provide the days I am away again and scan my latest trip stamps.

Thanks for your response in advance

Yes you can travel.

No, you don't have to declare the absence. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online and NOT your biometric appointment.
