Add surname or Last name in first UK passport

Hi,

My daughter got a naturalization certificate from the Home office. Now we are paling to apply for UK passport. As of now, We have never kept her surname/Lastname in any documents. Now I like to put her surname/Lastname in her UK passport and any future documents. It would help if you please let me know, Do we have any process to add surname or last name in her passport application.

She will only get a British passport issued in the same name as her foreign passport.

You would need to change her foreign passport first if you want to add a name.

You should probably have corrected this before ilr and citizenship.

Is that possible to change her name in a UK passport once she got a UK passport and we will reapply for a name change?

You would have to do a deed poll and change the foreign passport if foreign citizenship hasn't been lost.

You won't get a passport in a different name to a foreign passport.
