Meeting the financial requirement/Cohabitation documents

Post by willian » Wed Feb 05, 2020 12:28 pm

Dear all,

The initial 2.5 years of my FLR(M) visa will lapse on the 9th of April 2020 and I intend to apply for the renewal in the second week of March. I have some pressing issues which I've detailed below:

1. So, my wife and I are employed and earn above the threshold income. However, she's on one-year maternity leave while I'm on employed on a contract that runs out in October. Can we (a.) use the payslips she obtained 6 months prior to her maternity leave or (b.) combine her payslips for 12 months with my 6-months payslips or (c.) just use my 6-months payslips. Please let me know which financial category the most suitable option will be.

2. Regarding the evidence of cohabitation, we moved into a new property just about a year ago and I'm struggling with arranging the documents (bills, statements etc) to fit in the 2-year span. We have joint bills from 3 sources but most of these were addressed to the previous address. In the past year, we have we've had bills in Feb/March, July and one each for the 31st of January and 1st of February. Firstly, Should these bills also meet the 28-day window? Secondly, some of these bills were issued online, is that acceptable.

Your honest opinions are highly welcome.

1. Even while she is on maternity leave, so far meeting up the financial threshold with it you can use the 6months payslips she got prior to her going on leave. Also, among other things on the letter from employer, the start and end date of her maternity leave should be stated and that she is returning to same employment with them.
We did the above and it worked no questions asked.
