Hi, I have a 5 year Tier 2 ICT expiring 22/02/20.
Both my son and wife are dependants. Now my wife has got an offer and she has got her tier 2 general from india but I and my son are in uk still on my ICT visa. Can he switch his dependent visa to my wife’s in UK alone while I stay on in my ICT?

Yes but he will likely only get a visa expiring the same date as yours, ie 22/02/2020, assuming you have stated the correct date of your visa expiring.

Thanks .
I am assuming if I apply to switch to my wife’s dependent along with him then he will get my wife’s tier 2 general end date (which is Jan-2022).
Extremely grateful for your prompt response.

If you both switch at the same time, then yes.

Thanks , that resolves my query.
If possible, I will try use a single application form to apply for both as well.

Apologies for the trouble, another query.
Can I request my PBS dependent start date to be next day from my current ICT visa expiry date,I.e. 22nd Feb in the application? This is to ensure there is no overlap. Hopefully the dependent visa start is not defaulted to main applicant start date

Your PBS dependent visa will start from date of approval.
Not sure what you mean by "overlap".

Sorry, by overlap I mean two visas at the same time.
Example : Tier 2 ICT expires 22-Feb
Tier 2 dependent for the same person gets approved on 20-Feb
Then 21 and 22 Feb is overlap- one of the visas may need to be invalidated for these 2 days..

Your ICT visa will be cancelled by HO when a PBS dependent visa is granted.

Thanks. My wife has got a visa. Though I have an observation. Whilst applyimg we mentioned her occupation is in shortage occupation list however her visa page states Tier 2 General ( there is no mention it is Shortage occupation).
While applying, should I select her visa type as Tier 2 general or tier 2 general - shortage occupation?
Since her job is in SOL my visa type is defaulting to PBS dependent - Tier 2 general - shortage occurs
Thanks for your help.

To clarify, the confusion is only arising as her Visa does not categorically state Tier 2 general- shortage occupation. Not sure but this may have been internally recorded and not printed on the visa.

What does her cos say, sol or non sol?
When was her cos assigned?
What is the SOC?

The actual visa won't state sol. It only states her visa category.
If she has a sol visa etc, then that is what you select for your visa.
