Contract does not match payslip and letterheads

Post by billybig » Tue Feb 18, 2020 5:21 pm

Hi
I hope you guys can reassure me.
We have submitted the application for a fiance visa and are uploading documents.
I've noticed that the name of my employer on my contract, payslip and confirmation of employment are all slightly different.
I work for a company which is owned by another larger company, and they used to be called something else (their legal name)

So my contract of employment says the small company name, but at the address of the larger company.
The payslip says their legal name, which does not match the above exactly (but does contain the same first part of the name)
My bank statements match their legal name for my monthly BACS payments.
On the letter confirming my employment, it says the smaller company name at the office I work in.

Anyone who works here would know that it is obviously all the same thing, which is clearly why I have not considered it thus far.

How important is it that these all match? Could I just provide a covering letter to explain all of this, or is it fairly normal that the company name would not match the payslip.

thanks

Having been myself through mergers and acquisitions multiple times, my work paperwork always looked like that with mismatching names and addresses.

It never caused me any issue anytime I needed to demonstrate work with the Home Office. They know this pattern.

As long as the money in the payslips matches the money in the account and everything is consistent with the National Insurance Number contributions, they won't question that.

That's exactly it, from an acquisition, and it's a large multi national.
I thought later that they probably just check the NI number and that's all fine.
That's reassuring, thank you

Contract is not needed rather a recently dated employer letter along with payslips and corresponding bank statements will only be needed to meet the financial requirement.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
