Naturalisation application

Post by sga1013 » Fri Feb 21, 2020 8:56 am

Hi,
My wife and I hold ILR since 2012 but our son born in india holds ILE since May 2018 my other two children are British citizens. I heard my son will be eligible to apply for naturalisation in may 2020. Is it correct please advice.
Many thanks.

Children born abroad will qualify to apply when either parent is also applying for citizenship or are already British.

How old is the child?

If under 18, children are registered, not naturalised!

Actually we were out of country for 20 months but we are back in uk for over two years now. We thought we are not eligible that's why I was to do my son's passport first. Do you think we can apply as well for naturalisation.
Thanks

You need to meet all the requirements to apply for citizenship, including the absence limits.

Child can apply when either parent is also applying.
