PBS Dependant Extension without ILR clock reset

Hi all,

Im in Tier2 PBS dependent since 2016(3.5 years) valid till May2020. My husband got his ILR (via Tier2) this month(feb 2020). I need to know
which category should i apply now for my visa extension.
1. I read from some of the previous posts in this forum that if i apply as "switch to Family of an settled person in UK" then it will reset the clock for my ILR. Is it true ?
2. So if (1) is true should i apply as Tier 2 PBS dependent with the cos that was sponsored for my husbands employer ? In that case
what if at the time my husband resigns from his current employer who sponsored the cos ? Will my PBS Dependant extension still be valid for another 2 years so i can apply for my ILR?

1. There is NO requirement to switch to another visa. You are likely misreading posts that refer to dependents of ilr based on 10 years long residence applicants.

2. Tier 2 dependent visa extension which will be a 3 year extension. Simply complete the information the form asks for. Your spouse's employer is irrelevant to your extension. You simply need to provide the last cos information the form asks for.
