Post by Bill1960 » Sat Feb 22, 2020 6:50 pm

Do I need to declare a previous marriage on my application? The marriage ended nearly 30 years ago and was in America. Thank you

Online application confusion!

Post by Bill1960 » Sat Feb 22, 2020 6:58 pm

I've nearly completed my online citizenship application and am confused what happens next! Do I need to go through UKVCAS or does or go straight to the HO? Do I print the referees forms and submit them and do I need to attach a photo to each form that has been signed by the referees? Thank you for your help and I'm sure I'll be back soon with more questions!! 🤔

You only need to answer the questions that are asked.

You submit and pay online. Then you choose your ukcvas appointment when directed to do so. You need to print the referee forms and attached your photos for the referees to sign the forms. You have to go through ukcvas, which is also where you need to enroll your biometrics.

Everything is uploaded to the ukcvas portal, referees forms included.

Please also keep ALL your questions in one topic!

Proof of living in UK

Post by Bill1960 » Sun Mar 01, 2020 8:49 pm

I'm applying for citizenship through marriage and I meet all the requirements. I received my BRP last year and had to supply proof of living in the UK at that time. Do I need to submit proof of living in the UK for the past 3 years again when applying for citizenship? Thank you

UKVCAS help!

Post by Bill1960 » Tue Mar 03, 2020 6:19 pm

I've started to upload the documents asked for by UKVCAS and I'm confused! I met all the requirements for BC and have a current BRP card. Do I need to upload all my passport pages, or only the newest one or the oldest with the Visa stamps in them? They have asked for my passport as proof of English language.
Do I need to provide proof of living in the UK? Do I need to provide my marriage certificate and my wife's passport? Sorry for all the questions and thank you for your help!

Can you please keep all questions about the same application in one topic!! Topics merged again!!

You need all your passports to prove residence for the 3 years.

Yes you need the marriage cert and British spouse's passport uploaded too as you are applying on the basis of marriage!

Thank you for the reply. Do I need to upload all pages of my passport, including expired passports? And do I do the same for my wife's passport?

Your passport all stamped pages and biometric page.

British spouse only biometric page.
