Accommodation requirement for spouse visa

Post by Aiden252 » Fri Mar 13, 2020 11:23 pm

Hi,
I am a British national, married to a Moroccan nation. We are preparing documents to apply her spouse visa next month. I have two queries, hope someone will kindly help.
Query 1:
I currently live in a shared accommodation, sharing a three bed house with my landlord. My landlord has no objection that my wife comes and live with me and happy to provide required documents, except from his passport details and copy of passport.
Do I really need my landlord’s passport details and copy of passport as he lives at the same property?
Query 2:
If I rent out my own one bed flat, the earliest I can move in will be end of April.
Can we apply before I moved in by providing the rental contract, letting agent letter and Property survey repot OR do I need to wait to move in and have proof of addresses as well?
Do I need to get “Property survey repot” for this rented flat?

Many thanks in advance.
Aiden

Ideally apply once you create few of your proof of addresses there.

If you follow your 2nd plan then no need.

Hi,

Thanks so much for your kind reply.
I am still confuse that,
If I say that "I dont know", the passport number of my landlord and also dont provide the passport copy, will it not effect the visa decision?
Is it not cumpulsory to provide these details?

Many thanks,

Aiden

Copy of passport won't be needed but knowing the passport & other necessary information about the landlord & other lodger/residents (if any) is desirable but shouldn't be mandatory but not sure whether the online application form will proceed further without it.
