Hi there, everyone!
I recently paid and finished my online ILR application on the 20th of March and booked an appointment for this morning (this was however cancelled because Sopra Steria are short staffed). I now have to book another appointment and finish my biometrics. I'm transferring from Tier 2 General (5 year route) and my SOC is 2136 which is on the shortage list.
I have a quick question in relation to this and the Coronavirus crisis. My company is a startup and they don't intend to fire anyone and avoid redundancies during this time. However, to keep the company running for as long as they can (to reduce burn) the entire company is collectively taking a 10-20% salary cut - 10% in April and 20% in May. The salary will go back to normal amounts once the crisis resolves or we secure more seed funding for the business (which can happen in the next 6 weeks). We all received agreements to the same effect and we have all signed it. Employer will also notify Home Office via SMS about this and state the reason for this. This would not have happened if it were not for the virus. I've already got a letter from my employer and they want to employ me for the foreseeable future.
Now, at the time of filling out my application, this was not known (we got this on the 24th of March) so my salary is still on the old salary. Now if I have to rebook my appointment in April, the last payslip will be of March (during which I was still paid the same salary as stated on my application).
My questions are
1. Can I still go ahead and include the March payslip as is without any issue and the bank statement showing my March salary pay in? (without the need for the letter mentioned below)
2. Should I include a letter from my company / attach the agreement i signed which mentions the reason for this even if I apply in April?
For further information - my salary is well above the minimum required for ILR that even after these cuts, it remains much higher than what is required.
Any help is appreciated and thank you!
