FLR (M) Online Application

Post by SKing » Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:04 pm

Hi All,

My husband and I are trying to fill out his FLR (M) Application online and are a little confused about:

1. What option we should be selecting under 'Current Immigration Status'. My husband originally came into the UK with a 6 month fiancé visa, which I've come to understand is a kind of settlement visa. Am I correct in assuming we select 'Settlement' as the choice? Or should it be 'Other'?

2. 'Items of correspondence addressed to X and Y at the same address as evidence you have been living together since your last grant of leave in this category, or from the date you first started living together, covering the last 2 years.' - We haven't been living together for 2 years, just since my husband came over on a fiancé visa in December. Plus, we moved recently so didn't really bother putting him on any of the bills at the last place as there was no point. Will pieces of mail in joint names at the current address suffice? I also have a letter from my previous landlady giving him permission to reside with me at the old place.

3. 'What family or friends do you have in the country where you were born and/or any other country whose nationality you hold?' - How much detail do we have to go into here? I've never heard of having to list friends before, just immediate family members.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and one more thing:

'Is your current entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner of one of the following?'

If you're on a fiancé visa is that a yes or no?

Thank you!

Assuming your partner entered on fiancee visa who now is extending and switching into flrm.

1. Choose settlement as the family option might not be appropriate due to having various routes.

2. Cohabitation evidences won't be needed at this stage. Whatever evidence you have simply attach it which will itself become evidence of subsisting relationship that is actually needed to satisfy at this stage.

3. This question was included in the form quite a long time ago from now which just need to be answered honestly and precisely.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
