Simple Police Caution and how to it effects extending my Ancestry Visa

Post by maverick92 » Tue Apr 14, 2020 4:07 pm

Hi all! I’m looking to extend my UK ancestry visa at the beginning of May, but might have a problem. I received a simple caution in December 2019 from the police for a domestic dispute with my roommate where I broke her reading glasses. I am not sure how this will effect my application as I am worried of it getting refused. Can anyone offer any advice?

Also to note: visa application is FLR(IR).

If that incident was neither recorded nor both of you were contacted/interviewed later then more likely there shouldn't be any issue. Few years ago I seen similar incidence where both roommates were simply advised by police to change the room/house but afterwards they didn't even bother to call them.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

I did sign a simple caution form from the police. And it is on PNC.

Maverick, if someone said it would effect your visa, what would you do differently, how would you change your application? Is there anything you can do anyhow?

More looking for anecdotal evidence to help ease my mind, if anything.

I see, well I don't think anyone here will be able to tell you what will be the outcome, I guess you can only live in hope. Have you had to declare the incident on your application?
